The Credit Union issues Cashiers Checks drawn on itself.

Should you need funds from your share, share draft or other deposit account, you can obtain funds via a Credit Union Cashiers Check. This type of check, as opposed to a regular Credit Union check, is readily acceptable by nearly all persons or places. Its very name tells the recipient that the funds represented by this check are as good as cash. Therefore, a lost check is the same as lost cash - it just can't be replaced because "stop payments" are not allowed on Cashiers Checks.

Usually, entities that do not accept personal checks will accept a money order or cashiers check. The Credit Union will provide this service, but at the cost of $1 per each Cashiers Check issued.
